Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role:
The Maintenance Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant operations. This position will be responsible for directing and participating in the maintenance and reliability improvement efforts, with a focus on planning, scheduling, and preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and maintain the safety program for the maintenance department, ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety standards.
- Aid in the development and implementation of the plant maintenance program, based on best practices in the industry.
- Minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Communicate directly with the production department to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
- Utilize and maintain the purchasing system for tracking work orders, PMs, and spare parts.
- Ensure that maintenance employees are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated.
- Maintain and repair all plant equipment, including corrugators, flexographic presses, die cutters, and conveyors.
- Work within the Plant Preventative and Predictive Maintenance program.
- Estimate work hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
- Assist in continuous improvement activities and offer positive suggestions for improvements and innovations.
- Maintain compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Supervisor.
- Corrugated box plant experience highly desired.
- Electro-mechanical knowledge and experience required.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments.
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
- Organizational support – follows policies and procedures and supports goals.
- Effective computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
