Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Rigger to join our team at Helical Pile Solutions. As a Rigger, you will be responsible for setting up and operating rigging equipment for the movement of piling equipment and material. You will work closely with the piling team to ensure compliance with all applicable safe work-practices and hazard identification.

To succeed in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of rigging equipment, excellent space awareness, and good communication skills. A skilled Rigger is meticulous with construction and always aware of safety on the construction site.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Rigger.
  • In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery.
  • Excellent hearing and vision.
  • High-level mathematical skills.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions.
Essential Functions
  • Inspect and prepare loads for movement.
  • Set up, align, and level heavy equipment machinery.
  • Select the appropriate rigging gear.
  • Prepare rigging equipment for use.
  • Inspect rigging before final use.
  • Monitor and maintain rigging equipment.
  • Maneuver loads using heavy equipment machinery and by hand.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety procedures.
  • Communicate with the operator and construction team.
  • Break down rigging equipment and conduct post-rigging inspections.
Work Environment

This role will be based in a construction environment, working outdoors in various weather conditions. You will be exposed to loud noises, extreme temperatures, and physical elements such as bending, twisting, crouching, kneeling, standing for long periods of time, lifting weights up to 50 pounds frequently and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally with assistance. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
