Job Overview
The role of the Sr. Manager, Cloud Applications Engineering is a leadership position within the Production Services team at OpenText. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, fine-tuning, and optimizing application deployment and usage based on efficient monitoring. This involves supporting applications and infrastructure for OpenText platforms, ensuring that application solutions are consistent with the overall architecture, and overseeing maintenance tasks such as upgrades.

This role requires strong technical skills, including experience in managing public cloud deployments (AWS, Azure), understanding of software architecture, and proficiency in automation software and scripting (batch, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform). Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience in monitoring software and scripting, as well as a strong understanding of security, backup, and recovery. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with teams in different geographic locations are also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, fine-tune, and optimize application deployment and usage based on efficient monitoring.
  • Support applications and infrastructure for OpenText platforms.
  • Ensure that application solutions are consistent with the overall architecture.
  • Oversee maintenance tasks such as upgrades.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in managing SRE or Cloud Systems Engineering teams.
  • Experience in managing applications/system administrations.
  • Experience in managing public cloud deployments (AWS, Azure).
  • Understanding of software architecture and Microsoft Stack (.Net, C#, SQL, and Azure).
  • Experience in automation software and scripting (batch, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience in monitoring software and scripting (New Relic, Zabbix, Nagios, PRTG).
  • Strong understanding of security, backup, and recovery.
  • Basic understanding of network protocols.
