Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Principal to lead our Catholic elementary school. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing educational leadership and management to ensure the school's mission and goals are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide educational leadership and management to ensure the school's mission and goals are achieved.
- Develop and implement school improvement plans to enhance student learning and achievement.
- Lead and manage a team of teachers and staff to ensure effective teaching and learning practices.
- Collaborate with parents, community members, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and promote school success.
- Manage school resources and budgets to ensure effective use of resources.
- Ensure compliance with board policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Ontario School Principal's Certificate - Part 1 completed & Part 2 completed or in progress to be completed by the start date of the appointment.
- Part 1 - Religious Education or Equivalent (Minimum Requirement). Specialist (preferred).
- Part 1 - Special Education or Special Education for Administrators AQ (preferred).
- A Master's Degree (preferred).
- Completion of the Called to Lead Program or in-progress (preferred).
Experience:
- Vice Principal Experience.
- A minimum of five (5) years recent teaching experience in the elementary panel is required.
- Recent experience in Catholic leadership at the school and/or system level.

The Board reserves the right to limit the interviews to those who are deemed ready for promotion.
Salary and Terms:
Salary will be in accordance with the terms and conditions for Principals and Vice Principals; Commensurate with experience.
Successful candidates must be prepared to accept assignments at schools located throughout the LDCSB.
