Job Title: Woodworking Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Machine Operator to join our team at Vanair Design. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating various woodworking machines to fabricate and repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, program, and operate computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate and repair wooden parts.
  • Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.
  • Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces.
  • Operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products.
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment.
  • Replace parts as required.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a woodworking or manufacturing environment.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
