Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at the Northern Haida Gwaii Hospital and Health Centre. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of housekeeping duties throughout the facility, including cleaning patient/resident/client rooms, operating rooms, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory areas.
  • Maintain clean and disinfected conditions in all areas, including washrooms, corridors, hallways, lounges, offices, and common areas.
  • Operate related equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and disinfectant sprayers.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work and prioritize tasks.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
