Job Overview

AirBoss Rubber Compounding is seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to establish an accurate inventory of spare parts, minimize redundancy, and set up a reliable vendor base. This role reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1. Establish and maintain a well-organized inventory in the stores by receiving, storing, and retrieving inventory items efficiently.
2. Process purchase orders and requests accurately to ensure timely receipt of necessary parts.
3. Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records of stock levels and inventory movements.
4. Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
5. Develop strong relationships with vendors to upgrade obsolete equipment and negotiate price reductions.
6. Coordinate communications between purchasing and maintenance teams effectively.

Requirements

1. Post-secondary education in a related field and significant relevant experience in inventory management.
2. Thorough understanding of inventory systems and processes, including experience implementing and maintaining ERP systems, preferably IFS.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze inventory data and implement process improvements.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with tradespeople, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
5. Ability to lead by example and promote a safety-focused culture within the organization.
