About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Developer/Designer to join our team at the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC). As a key member of our Information Technology team, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and delivering innovative solutions that help us maintain our position as an international leader in the property assessment industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership in systems analysis, User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) and application design, development, configuration, and support services related to the inception, elaboration, and construction of a diverse range of architecture proof of concepts, designs, and prototypes.
  • Analyze and design optimal user experiences, user interfaces as part of IT solutions to meet client needs.
  • Ensure that detailed designs meet required user experience expectations, functional, non-functional requirements, and comply with architectural and accessibility standards.
  • Create prototypes or proof-of-concept efforts and ensure that quality attributes (performance, scalability, extensibility, and accessibility) are met.
  • Develop architectural artefacts covering all the Enterprise Architecture viewpoints (design, standards, and roadmap compliance) and obtain approval from the Architecture Group.
Requirements
  • Completion of post-secondary education in an IT-related field.
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a senior technical development capacity, analyzing, designing, and developing/configuring applications utilizing one or more of the following technologies: React, Python, Groovy, PostgreSQL, Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, and CSS, and RESTful APIs.
  • Certification, or working towards certification in Agile, AI/Data Science, Cloud, DevOps.
  • Certification earned or in progress in the following technologies would be an asset: React, Amazon Web Services, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, and CSS.
