A-1 Machine and Welding is seeking a reliable and physically fit candidate to join our team as a General Labourer. This permanent position involves various shop tasks, including cutting, prepping, and yard organization. The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge and skills in operating all sizes of forklifts, as well as be comfortable around operating tools and machines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing various shop tasks such as cutting, prepping, and yard organization
  • Lifting and carrying items as needed, loading and unloading items as needed
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area
  • Following written and verbal directions
  • Following safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Must be physically fit
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal directions
  • Must be able to follow safety procedures
  • Must be comfortable around operating tools and machines
  • Must be able to use basic measuring equipment
  • Must be able to maintain your work area by keeping it safe, clean, and organized
  • Must be organized, punctual, reliable, and able to take direction
  • Driver license required
  • Runs to different job sites may be required
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour. Schedule: 8 hour shift, day shift.
