Job Title: Truck Dispatcher - Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Truck Dispatcher to join our team at Canada inc O/A Deedar Transportation. As a Truck Dispatcher, you will be responsible for maintaining work records and logs, assisting with maintenance of communications equipment, and dispatching personnel according to schedules and work orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date work records and logs
  • Assist with the maintenance of communications equipment to ensure seamless communication with drivers and other team members
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods
  • Respond to emergency situations by dispatching personnel as required
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays
  • Stay up-to-date with cross-border dispatching regulations and practices, as well as highway trucking rules and regulations
  • Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment to optimize efficiency and productivity

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
