Job Summary
This is a field service position responsible for electrical repairs and maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing electrical equipment, repairing and maintaining existing electrical equipment, and completing field service tickets and reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Install electrical equipment in accordance with applicable code requirements.
- Repair and maintain existing electrical equipment on drilling rigs, shop and office locations.
- Complete field service tickets, time entry, vehicle logs and expense reports.
- Operate and maintain a company vehicle in accordance with Nabors policies.
- Flexible to assist in warehouse duties as required.
- Report to Field Service Supervisor or Electrical Manager depending on location or task.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year Journeyman electrician experience in oil & gas industry required.
- Journeyman Electrician certificate.
- WHMIS.
- ARC Flash training.
- H2S Alive.
- Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred Experience: VFD/SCR/Generator, AC and DC motor/drive, Allen Bradley PLC Programming.
Behavioral Competencies
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work a flexible schedule.
- Able to mentor apprentice electricians.
Technical Competencies
- Strong electrical / technical knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of rig based electrical systems.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- This position requires extensive travel.
- Work a predetermined schedule, with possible overtime as operational needs dictate.
- Willing to work out of town.
- Able to live in a dry camp environment when working out of town.
