Financial Analysis and Planning Specialist

Amico Affiliates Inc. is a dynamic and diversified Canadian-owned development and construction company. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decisions, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance and support strategic planning.
  • Prepare and present accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports to senior management.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Assist the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Monitor and update financial forecasts, identifying key trends and variances.
  • Work closely with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide guidance on financial matters.
  • Participate in strategic projects and initiatives, providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Identify risks and advise management with mitigation plans.
  • Act as a financial advisor to operational managers, helping them to understand financial implications of their business decisions.
  • Review JV financial reports and Estimate At Completion reports on projects.
  • Ensure financial and operational policies and procedures, compliance regulations.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and other business development activities through financial due diligence and integration planning.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and support audit processes as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Superior written, oral, and analytical skills in complex and at times adversarial situations.
  • Ability to produce managerial and financial reports for upper management with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge in advanced Excel, financial modeling skillset.
  • Knowledge of current accounting laws and regulations in Ontario.
  • Background in BI reporting with project-based company experience.
