About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at the Region of Peel.

This is a critical role that requires exceptional technical expertise and problem-solving skills. As a Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to meet business requirements.
  • Develop and oversee daily batch processes, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes that enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with vendors and manufacturers as needed.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-availability network environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of PowerShell, batch scripting, VMware, and Microsoft Azure configurations.
  • Strong understanding of system recovery methods and best practices.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, PMBOK, COBIT, and ITIL frameworks.
