Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization. As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for leading the operations of the organization, developing and implementing strategic plans, and collaborating with the Board of Directors to ensure alignment with the organization's goals and priorities.

Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic plans that advance the organization's mission and ensure alignment with the organization's strategic goals and priorities.
  2. Administration and Reporting: Develop and implement policies and procedures and maintain accurate records and provide regular reports to the Board of Directors on key activities, financial performance, and organizational progress.
  3. People Management: Recruit, lead, and mentor support staff and volunteers across the province.
  4. Program Oversight: Ensure the effective delivery of programs and services that support caregivers, including the Caregiver Support Team, legal assistance, and educational initiatives.
  5. Advocacy: Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization, advocating for policies and practices that benefit foster and kinship caregivers and the children they support.
  6. Financial Stewardship: Oversee budgeting, financial management, and fundraising efforts to ensure the organization's sustainability and growth.
  7. Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with caregivers, community partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
