About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Produce Clerk to join our team at 1827486 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our grocery store team, you will be responsible for ensuring our produce section is well-stocked and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their queries and directing them to the location of articles sought.
  • Inventory Management: Unpack products received by the store, count, weigh, or sort items, and maintain computerized stock inventory.
  • Stockroom Operations: Record incoming stock, stock shelves and display areas, and keep stock clean and in order.
  • Cash Handling: Process electronic transactions using computer equipment and operate a cash register.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Work Setting: This role is based in a fast-paced supermarket/grocery store environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail is essential.
