Job Description:
The Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure-stream position in the area of nutritional sciences. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2025.

We seek candidates with a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or a related discipline, and a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. A strong preference will be given to applicants whose work includes novel methodological approaches and outcome assessments that extend beyond weight or body composition.

The successful candidate will be expected to pursue innovative, independent, and impactful interventional research at the highest international level, and to establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program. They will also contribute to undergraduate education, helping to develop an Applied Human Nutrition Specialist program for students from the Faculty of Arts and Science.

Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence, including contributions and publications in leading journals, presentations at significant conferences, and superior research plans. They must also demonstrate a record of excellence in teaching, including a teaching statement, sample course materials, and teaching evaluations or other evidence of superior performance in teaching-related activities.
