Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced instructor to teach a course in digital photography at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will have a strong background in visual arts and photography, as well as experience in teaching at the post-secondary level.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a course in digital photography that covers the technical, visual, and critical skills necessary for a personal photographic art practice.
  • Introduce students to the historical and theoretical concepts of photography and its place in the larger culture of images.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in the development of their photographic skills and artistic vision.

Requirements:

  • Master of Fine Arts or equivalent degree in visual arts or a related field.
  • Established reputation and exhibition record in photography and contemporary art.
  • Experience in teaching at the post-secondary level.

Working Conditions:

This course will be offered in person.

Language of Instruction: French and English

Competence in Second Language: Active

Course Schedule: Thursday, 8:30-12:30
