About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to join our team at Prospera Credit Union. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing our network and data infrastructure from a cyber and information security perspective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze security events and alerts to identify and mitigate potential threats.
  • Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident detection and response.
  • Collaborate with IT Support, Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, and key suppliers to reduce our overall cyber risk.
  • Execute daily operations of the cybersecurity team, ensuring timely detection, response, and resolution of security incidents.
  • Utilize cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Maintain and enhance the incident response plan, playbooks for common incident types, incident response retainers, and response testing.
  • Oversee a comprehensive Vulnerability Management program following the relevant NIST Framework objectives and controls.
  • Assist in coordinating third-party penetration/network/application assessments.
  • Provide support during security incidents, contributing to investigations, forensics analysis, and remediation efforts.
Requirements
  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or a related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Security Operations, Security Operations Centre (SOC) or information security engineering roles.
  • Experience of working in an agile environment is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, communications protocols, cloud and mobile devices best practices and risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of network security testing tools.
  • Knowledge of current cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), services, and security best practices.
  • Knowledgeable in running an in-house security operation, hybrid, or in the management of a third-party SOC vendor.
  • Proficient experience with assessing and auditing network controls such as firewalls, IDS/IDP, DNS, VPN, 2-factor authentication, port/packet filtering, VLANs, physical and logical separation of network segments, security zoning, and traffic analysis.
  • Proficient knowledge of ISO 27001/2, COBIT and ITIL.
