Job Title: Welder-Fitter

The Bucket Shop Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal parts and products to meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, maintaining a high level of quality control.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to prepare metal for welding.
  • Fabricate, braze, and torch-straighten metal to meet customer requirements.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal parts and products.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Excellent knowledge of welding techniques, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and physically demanding conditions.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination are essential for this role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
