Make a Difference with MNP's Tax Team

As a Senior Manager with MNP's Tax team, you'll play a key role in delivering customized tax strategies to our clients. Our team of professionals is dedicated to navigating the complex and dynamic regulatory landscape, ensuring our clients meet compliance and reporting requirements while minimizing risk and maximizing returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple client-facing engagement teams to complete tax engagements and prepare tax returns
  • Deliver industry and technical expertise through client interactions, reports, and high-quality deliverables
  • Evaluate existing business processes and policies, advising on policy and tax changes to develop proactive tax strategies
  • Prepare election forms for corporate reorganizations and assist in managing personal and trust tax compliance seasons
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, understanding their business, key risks, and ways to deliver added value
  • Accountable for engagement planning, scheduling, and project financials, including budgets, WIPS, timely billing, and collection
  • Maintain high-quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address issues relevant to the client's business
  • Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities, and contribute to proposal preparation and delivery
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning, developing new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Mentor, motivate, and coach team members towards professional and personal development
Requirements:
  • Completion of the In-depth Tax Program and other specialist development courses
  • ~7 to 8 years of relevant public accounting or tax consulting experience
  • Extensive working knowledge of Canadian Tax
  • Strong understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles
  • Proven people management, relationship, and leadership skills
  • Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills
