About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Grande Prairie Public School Division. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team to provide individualized services to students from Preschool through Grade 12.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement intervention programs for students with communication disorders
  • Provide direct treatment intervention to students and instruct teachers, assistants, and parents in speech language intervention techniques
  • Participate in case conferences, parent interviews, medical consultations, and clinic programming
  • Research and provide consultation on speech language services
  • Supervise para-professional staff and provide programming input for Educational Assistants
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate a quality assurance program
Qualifications
  • Registration or eligibility to be registered with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
  • Valid driver's license (travel required)
  • Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check
  • Pediatric experience is an asset
