Cedar Fair Entertainment Company is seeking a Licensed Refrigeration (Mandatory) and Gas One/Two Technician to join our Full-Time permanent team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Conduct rebuilds and repairs of equipment as specified, utilizing strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed service records and logs, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements, modifications, and upgrades, reporting findings to the Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Assist with major overhauls, modifications, and alterations as required, working collaboratively with the team.
  • Ensure the safe operation of each work area and project, adhering to company safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Assist with general cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of equipment as needed, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Execute the preventative maintenance program, identifying and addressing potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Assist with seasonal staff as required, providing support and guidance to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, coupled with a Refrigeration License (HVAC) and relevant industry certifications.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a related field, with a proven track record of success and growth.
  • Gas Fitter level One (Asset) and Gas Fitter level Two (Mandatory) certifications, with a strong understanding of gas safety protocols.
  • A valid Ontario driver's license, with a clean driving record.
  • Past experience in a diverse and comparable environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.
  • Proven skills with food service equipment installation and repairs, with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required, with a flexible and adaptable attitude.
  • Proven abilities to problem-solve, troubleshoot, and work with deadlines, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ownership of tools and safety boots, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions, with a strong physical presence and stamina.
  • Required to meet the physical demands of the job, including weights of up to 23kg, heights of 106m, frequent standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, crawling, and working with ladders.
