Job Title: Lead iOS Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead iOS Engineer to join our team at Nord Group - A GenHive Partner. This is a full-time contract position that requires a minimum one-year commitment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of our business-critical iOS applications. This role demands a deep understanding of iOS development, strong problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance iOS application features to meet business requirements.
  • Maintain and optimize application performance and stability to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior iOS developers to help them improve their skills and contribute effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS technologies and trends to ensure our applications remain competitive and innovative.
Requirements
  • Prioritizing and allocating tasks among the iOS development team to ensure efficient and timely delivery of projects.
  • Providing guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to junior iOS developers to help them improve their skills and contribute effectively.
  • Proficiency in Swift (Objective-C knowledge a plus) and extensive experience with iOS APIs (Local Authentication, WebKit, Networking).
  • In-depth understanding of iOS programming concepts (Threading, Crash Analysis) and mastery of Xcode, xcodebuild, application loader, and iOS ecosystem.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience with API development and knowledge of Android development.
  • Strong user experience (UX) design sensibilities and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
