We are seeking a skilled Landscaping Team Lead to join our team at S&B Landscaping and Fencing Ltd. in a dynamic role that requires strong leadership, project management, and hands-on experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee the planning and execution of grounds maintenance, landscape construction, and other related projects. This includes hiring, supervising, and scheduling staff, as well as estimating labor and materials costs.

A key aspect of this role is managing and directing teams, ensuring efficient workflows, and maintaining high-quality results. Additionally, the Team Lead will be responsible for maintaining accurate work records, tendering and administering contracts, and requisitioning equipment and supplies.

With a focus on excellence, we expect our ideal candidate to have initiative, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, and fertilizing lawns.
  • Oversee the construction of decks, decorative walls, and other landscape features.
  • Estimate labor and materials costs for projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget.
  • Maintain accurate work records, logs, and reports.
  • Tender and administer contracts with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Requisition equipment, tools, and supplies as needed.
  • Resolve conflicts, provide technical guidance, and suggest improvements to productivity and quality.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
  • Degree in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The work schedule is 35-40 hours per week, with a permanent position offering stability and growth opportunities.
