Job Description

Course Overview

This course explores feminist, queer, and trans theories and practices related to gender, identities, and embodiment. Topics may include the normative body, scientific and social constructions of the body, medicalization, body modification, gender performance, trans activism, ableism, and resistance.

Teaching Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching an undergraduate university course, with a focus on feminist, queer, and trans theories and practices. A Ph.D. in feminist or gender studies is preferred, as is teaching experience with full responsibility for an undergraduate university course. The candidate should demonstrate knowledge and competence in feminist, queer, and trans theories and practices through work and/or publications.

Course Details

This course will be offered in person, with a focus on in-depth exploration of the topics mentioned above. The candidate should be able to design and deliver a comprehensive course that meets the needs of undergraduate students.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in feminist, queer, and trans theories and practices, as well as teaching experience. They should be able to demonstrate their knowledge and competence through work and/or publications.
