Tyndale University seeks a highly skilled Content Writer Consultant to join our Writing and Tutoring Services team. As a Consultant, you will work collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty to provide tailored writing and academic support in a welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Content Writer Consultant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing individualized writing and academic support to students in consultations lasting 30-60 minutes.
- Supporting students by listening to their concerns, reading their work, asking questions, and offering constructive feedback to help them become stronger writers.
- Helping students understand course material and develop skills and strategies for taking notes, researching, studying, and time management.
- Explaining writing techniques and recommending relevant online and print resources.
- Scheduling student appointments and handling cancellations as required.
Requirements
To be successful as a Content Writer Consultant, you will need to possess:
- A current Tyndale University student status (an undergraduate student who has completed a minimum of 10 courses at start of employment or a Seminary/graduate student); good academic standing.
- 0 to 6 months related experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and prioritize concerns under time constraints.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $15.00 per hour. Additionally, you will receive a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development, flexible scheduling, and a supportive work environment.
