About the Role
KGS Group seeks an Intermediate Municipal Engineer to join our well-established Municipal Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing municipal wastewater treatment and conveyance projects from proposal to final delivery.
You will work on design projects that build on your existing knowledge and expand your engineering experience through mentorship from our senior staff. Collaborative project work is expected within the municipal department and with other departments at KGS Group.
Depending on your career path, you may focus on design development or take on project management responsibilities. Opportunities will be provided to expand your knowledge and participate in larger municipal infrastructure projects tailored to your interests.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop designs for municipal infrastructure projects related to wastewater collection and treatment, linear infrastructure, and land development.
- Work with and provide guidance to junior staff.
- Participate in and promote KGS Group's safety-first culture.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have a good mix of qualifications and previous experiences. Some highlights include:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or biosystems from a recognized institution.
- 6-8 years of related work experience in planning, design, and implementation of wastewater treatment and conveyance projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of relevant municipal documents and guidelines.
