**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Royal Columbian Hospital. As a key member of our respiratory care department, you will be responsible for performing pulmonary function procedures, including spirometry, lung volume determination, diffusion capacity, inhalation challenges, and arterial blood gas punctures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiopulmonary exercise studies.
- Complete and file testing documents and records.
- Assist in the monitoring of pulmonary function and stress testing equipment.
- Participate in providing related orientation and in-service training for the department.
- Assist in developing department quality assurance programs.
- Provide clinical instruction to Cariboo College Respiratory Therapy students.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam.
- Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Level C.
- One year's recent related experience in an accredited level three pulmonary function lab.
