Job Description:

At YES Kids Christian Childcare, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Lead Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.

About the Role:
  • This role involves leading a team of early childhood educators in creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that align with our centre's values and philosophy.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with children aged 0-12 years and possess excellent leadership skills, communication skills, and knowledge of early childhood education principles.
Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  2. Encourage children to express creativity through various media such as art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  3. Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  4. Knowledge of licensing regulations and adherence to health, security, and safety standards.
  5. Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, ensuring a collaborative approach to childcare.
  6. Maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, adhering to all relevant regulations.
Requirements:
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Vulnerable sector check.
  • Physically demanding position requiring attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Punctuality, dependability, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, reliability, team player, values and ethics, creativity, and ability to multitask.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children aged 0-12 years.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
