About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Graphic Designer to join our team at Microprint. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and effective graphics for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Graphics: Create 2-D and 3-D animated drawings or computer illustrations to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Consult with Clients: Work closely with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations and to establish the overall look and feel of communications materials.
  • Coordinate Sub-Contracting: Co-ordinate with sub-contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Develop Graphic Elements: Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives, including determining the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect.
  • Establish Guidelines: Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers to ensure consistency in the design and development of graphics.
  • Prepare Sketches and Layouts: Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Process Files and Paperwork: Process files and paperwork related to graphic design projects.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate and relocation costs not covered by employer.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colours, sitting, large workload, and tight deadlines.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, team player, creativity, work term: permanent, work language: English, and hours: 37.5 hours per week.
