Are you passionate about providing exceptional care and support to individuals in need? We are seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our team in Clarenville and surrounding communities

About the Role: As a Home Care Support Worker, you will provide personalized care and companionship to our clients, assisting them with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and preparing meals. You will also administer bedside and personal care, including aid in ambulation, feeding, and collecting specimens under the supervision of our home care agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care and companionship to individuals and families during periods of incapacitation, convalescence, or family disruption.
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, including aid in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing.
  • Plan and prepare meals and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding clients.
  • Perform routine health-related duties, such as changing non-sterile dressings, assisting in the administration of medications, and collecting specimens under the general direction of our home care agency supervisor or nurse.
  • Perform routine housekeeping duties, such as laundry, washing dishes, and making beds.

Requirements:

  • Secondary school education is required.
  • Home care worker experience is an asset.
  • College or other courses in home support are an asset.
  • Completion of a training program in care of the elderly is an asset.
  • Must have a great attitude and patience.
