Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Trailer Maintenance Professional to join our team at Holcim. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of mechanical duties to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our truck and trailer units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Inspections and Repairs: Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs to prevent downtime.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations, to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Safety Checks: Conduct thorough safety checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform repairs to get vehicles back on the road as quickly as possible.
  • Work Order Management: Manage work orders and assist in cost tracking, invoice reconciliation, and third-party repair pricing.
  • Fleet Management: Monitor fleet health, track truck downtime, and report on upcoming repairs to ensure optimal fleet performance.
  • Shop Maintenance: Maintain a functional shop, equipped with necessary stock parts, to keep trucks mobile.
  • Communication: Discuss budget and needs with managers and maintain open communication with team members.
  • Compliance: Work in compliance with company health and safety policies and OSHA standards.
  • Record Keeping: Keep neat and organized records of services and work in process.

Qualifications

  • Safety Mindset: Have a safety mindset and be willing to comply with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Valid Licenses: Possess a valid Truck and Coach (T) License and a valid DZ Driver's License.
  • Tools and Equipment: Possess own hand tools and tool box.
  • Experience: Have experience with ready mix and hydraulic systems, and be familiar with Theam/Ready mix concrete conveyors.
  • Communication Skills: Possess good written and oral communication skills.
  • Fleet Experience: Have experience working with fleets and be familiar with computer systems, including email and Microsoft Excel.
  • Organizational Skills: Be organized and willing to exhibit good housekeeping practices in the shop.
