We are a growing boutique research and consulting firm that specializes in healthcare statistics and economic evaluation. Our dedicated staff includes health economists, statisticians, and market access professionals who work together to provide cutting-edge solutions to our clients.

This is a key position with opportunities for growth and advancement. The incumbent will work closely with project leaders and clients on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing advanced statistical models for health economics: Survival analysis, longitudinal modeling, and more.
  2. Designing and implementing comparative effectiveness studies: Indirect treatment comparison, Network Meta-Analysis, and NMR.
  3. Leading complex comparative effectiveness projects: Statistical Treatment Comparison, MAIC, and cross-over analysis.

Day-to-Day Activities May Include:

  1. Providing expert consulting services in HE/HTA statistics: As a senior statistician with Cytel, you will work directly with the Comparative Effectiveness team to produce high-quality indirect treatment comparison analysis and reporting.
  2. Collaborating with systematic review and health economics teams to support clients' research goals and/or HTA submissions.
  3. Serving as a technical advisor on projects and guiding junior staff members and clients in the best and most appropriate methods to answer research questions, focusing on comparative effectiveness and advanced ITC methods.
  4. Managing a small team of RCs/SRCs.
  5. Preparing reports for comparative effectiveness analysis, population matching, or other technical deliverables, including quality control of analysis.
  6. Mentorship and fostering a culture of open communication and research within the team.

Requirements:

  1. A Master's degree or PhD in statistics, epidemiology, biostatistics, economics, or health economics, with 8+ years of experience in a healthcare setting (consulting/pharma/government).
  2. Hands-on experience in indirect treatment comparison, such as NMA, ML-NMR, MAIC, and STC.
  3. Experience in quantitative health outcomes, health economics, or outcome research strongly preferred.
  4. Intermediate-to-advanced R user.
  5. Experience with causal inference methods and Bayesian inference is an asset.
  6. Experience in QBA is an asset.
  7. Excellent analytical skills.
  8. Methodical, disciplined, diligent, well-organized, and professional.
  9. Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
  10. Extremely detail-oriented and efficient.
  11. Able to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
  12. Advanced level English proficiency is required.
  13. Track record of publications strongly preferred.
  14. Prior track record of interaction with HTA agencies strongly preferred.
