We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Modeler to join our team at Parsons Oman. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and managing projects involving multimodal transportation planning and traffic engineering.

About the Position

This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team, which works on designing and delivering critical infrastructure projects that promote economic growth, enhance mobility, and increase sustainability and resiliency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage work plans for multimodal transportation modeling projects/tasks, including day-to-day management of work scope/schedule/budget for assigned projects/tasks.
  • Lead and supervise junior professional/technical staff to ensure efficiency/productivity/high quality in the delivery of projects/tasks.
  • Develop and deliver technical reports and presentations, participate in client meetings/public information meetings/field/site visits, and liaise with clients/contractors/public agencies/project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and contribute to proposal development, including defining project understanding/methodology/work programs/schedules/budgets.
  • Contribute to team management and development, including mentoring/developing/training junior staff.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in Transportation Planning/Engineering or other relevant discipline, combined with relevant technical experience/project management skills.
  • At least 8 years of experience in multimodal transportation planning and/or traffic modeling and analytics, including master plans/environmental assessments/feasibility studies/corridor management/optimization studies/transportation infrastructure/systems preliminary/detailed design studies.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation infrastructure and systems improvement practices in the GTA, as well as an understanding of transportation planning/engineering issues/challenges.
  • Familiarity with transportation planning and traffic engineering practices, including travel demand modeling/forecasting/highway capacity manual/ontario traffic manual/traffic flow theory/multimodal transportation modeling and analysis.
  • Excellent data management and analysis skills, including experience with gis/database programming.
