Food Service Supervisor - Culinary Operations Manager
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to oversee the culinary operations at Dairy Queen Grill & Chill. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional food quality and service standards.
About the Job:The successful candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and a strong background in restaurant management. They will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient schedules to meet operational demands.
- Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Order and manage inventory of food, ingredients, and kitchen supplies.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Lead and guide staff in food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required: Accurately forecast ingredient and supply needs to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure Quality Control Standards: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets to optimize profitability.
- Address Customer Complaints: Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain Records and Reports: Accurately record stock, sales, repairs, and wastage to inform decision-making.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment with fast-paced demands.
- Tasks: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Supervision: 3-4 people under direct supervision.
- Security and Safety: Bondable and reliable with a valid driver's licence.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence required for occasional travel.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, physically demanding environment.
- Personal Suitability: Excellent communication, client focus, and flexibility.
The estimated salary for this role is $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. The position offers competitive benefits, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development within a dynamic organization.
