Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pastry Artisan to join our team at Village musical acadien / Centre Expo. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and creativity in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastries, bread, and baked goods for our customers.
  • You will work closely with our kitchen staff to ensure that all products meet our established standards of quality and presentation.
  • In addition to your technical skills, you will also be expected to demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills, as you will be supervising a team of baking personnel and coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Bake mixed dough and batters according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe production processes.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to meet customer expectations.
  • Draw up production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize resource allocation.
  • Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • High school graduation certificate is required, but completion of further education in a relevant field is considered an asset.
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial bakery or restaurant setting.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, ability to distinguish between colors, and attention to detail are essential for this position.
  • Prior experience with operating heavy equipment and standing for extended periods is beneficial.
Working Conditions:

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You must be able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a team-oriented setting.

Salary:
