Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facility/Project Engineer to join our team at Cenovus Energy. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for facility modifications, equipment installations, and system upgrades. You will also assist in the design and development of mechanical and piping systems, as well as the creation and modification of engineering documents and work packages.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support for facility modifications, equipment installations, and system upgrades, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Assist in the design and development of mechanical and piping systems, as well as the creation and modification of engineering documents and work packages.
Contribute to the planning and management of engineering projects, including developing project scopes, timelines, and budgets.
Conduct field verifications and gather data to support project planning, risk management, and process improvements.
Collaborate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project deliverables are met and assist in resolving any issues that arise during project execution.

Requirements

Must be enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application.
Basic understanding of engineering principles, with a focus on system design and facility operations.
Ability to interpret and apply industry standards and regulations in engineering tasks.
Basic skills in managing project tasks, including cost estimation, scheduling, and reporting.
