At Loblaw Companies Limited, we're committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services to our customers. As a Pharmacy Professional, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the best possible care.

This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing, and delivering medications accurately and timely. You'll also ensure adequate inventory levels to meet patient needs and counsel patients on new and additional medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients
  • Ensure medication and over-the-counter supplements inventory levels are adequate to meet patients' needs
  • Counsel patients on new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and proactive interaction
  • Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.)
  • Provide timely and positive resolution to patients' needs and doctors' requests/issues
  • Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary)
  • Provide ongoing training for all new and existing pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, students, IPGs)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy, and a Class A Pharmacist license are required
  • Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism are essential
  • Excellent leadership and performance management skills are required
  • Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is required
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including experience formulating and executing action plans
  • Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of Healthwatch Pharmacy Computer system, is a definite asset
