Drywall Installation Job Description

At TSK Networks, we are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation, finishing, and construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for drywall installation projects.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow it to dry.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets.
  • Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath.
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.
  • Install vapor barriers and thermal and sound insulation.
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts and estimate costs and materials.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Hand-eye coordination is essential for this role.
