Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality breast imaging procedures using digital equipment in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Your duties will include:

  • Performing screening and diagnostic mammography and ultrasounds, as well as breast interventional procedures
  • Ensuring ongoing digital quality assurance that meets mammography accreditation standards
  • Demonstrating respectful and effective communication with patients, caregivers, and team members

To succeed in this position, you must have strong technical skills, the ability to prioritize and communicate effectively, and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Successful completion of Mammography 1 and 2 certificates from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Completion of over 15 hours of continuing education in Mammography within the past 3 years and a commitment to ongoing continuing education that meets CAR and hospital requirements
  • Previous Breast Imaging working experience, demonstrating knowledge and experience in digital radiography
