We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Brassex Inc. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors.
Responsibilities:- Work Environment: Our facility is a commercial building with a warehouse.
- Tasks: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, handle and report lost and found items, pick up debris and empty trash containers, wash windows, walls and ceilings.
- Security and Safety: A criminal record check is required.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, combination of sitting, standing, walking, up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weight handling.
- Personal Suitability: Punctuality, dependability, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, values and ethics, patience, honesty.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees, provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Support for Youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment, offers on-the-job training tailored to youth, offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth, provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Support for Indigenous People: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations, provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
