Job Title: Babysitter

We are seeking a reliable and caring Babysitter to join our team at Helen Alexandridis. As a Babysitter, you will be responsible for providing top-notch childcare to infants and children in a home-based setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the children.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Establish and maintain a positive relationship with the children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, taking into account any dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities and games to stimulate the children's creativity and imagination.
  • Establish a daily routine that includes rest periods, outdoor playtime, and educational activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure a smooth transition and maintain open lines of communication.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in childcare or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina to keep up with the demands of childcare.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
Work Environment:

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a non-smoking, scent-free environment. The work setting will be in the employer's home, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Language:

The primary language spoken in the workplace is English or French.
