Job Summary

GSM Project is seeking a skilled Content Developer to join our team. As a Content Developer, you will be responsible for simplifying complex ideas and transforming information into engaging educational narratives for museum exhibitions.

Reporting to the Creative Director, you will work closely with designers to create immersive and interactive experiences. Your role will involve developing the stories and information that will be presented to the public during their visit.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the content strategy for exhibitions, working closely with clients and stakeholders;
  • Coordinate the content development process, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery;
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and develop exhibition messages and key learning objectives;
  • Participate in the selection of artifacts and imagery for exhibitions, working with the design team;
  • Synthesize and communicate complex ideas to various teams, ensuring clear understanding and alignment;
  • Conduct additional research as needed to support content development;
  • Participate in the definition of media and interactive treatments, ensuring engaging and effective experiences;
  • Coordinate and follow up on content development throughout the production phase, working with media producers, translators, writers, and other consultants;
  • Contribute to creative team deliverables by providing well-written and clear descriptions of content milestones.
Requirements
  • University degree or cross-disciplinary study in museology, journalism, communications, theatre, creative writing, education, storytelling, or other similar fields;
  • Three or more years of work experience in the development of museum exhibitions, educational programs, or related content;
  • Consideration will be given to work experience in communications, theatre, creative writing, journalism, education, etc.
  • Or any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent.
Skills and Abilities
  • Mastery of Google or Microsoft suites;
  • Knowledge of Adobe suite;
  • Intellectual curiosity;
  • Well-developed analytical and synthesis skills;
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills;
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate complex ideas clearly and for people with varying knowledge of the subject matter;
  • Determination and enthusiasm;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and in a team;
  • Sense of initiative and autonomy;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Proficiency in English and French.
