Job Summary

Suncoast Seafood is seeking a reliable Shellfish Processing Labourer to join our team. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting in the processing of shellfish, including weighing, cleaning, and packaging. This is a seasonal position with the possibility of extending into a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weigh and record the weight of shellfish
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas
  • Measure and dump ingredients into machines
  • Sort shellfish according to species and weight
  • Record production information
  • Cut, clean, and trim shellfish for marketing or further processing
  • Disjoint and remove meat from lobsters or other crustaceans
  • Set up and operate machines to package shellfish products
  • Check products for defects and ensure conformance to company standards
Requirements
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliability and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg
