Catastrophe Engineering and Analytics Team

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer in Test to join our innovative and versatile technical team, Catastrophe Engineering and Analytics (CAT E&A). As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing end-to-end systems to deploy and run models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with business, product, and data science teams to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Design and develop backend systems, data pipelines, and data manipulation tools.
  • Work with application engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to build and maintain existing software.
  • Develop and maintain technical platforms to be more user-friendly and seamless.
  • Assist with the development of AI and machine learning related projects.
  • Drive technology and architecture decisions, and mentor teammates.
  • Write maintainable and well-tested code, and design systems.
  • Build robust data pipelines, perform data analysis, and deploy models.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in software engineering, data engineering, or ML engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, or SciPy) or R.
  • Proficiency in building and working with APIs.
  • Experience with GIS libraries, PostGIS, GDAL.
  • Experience with both streaming and batch processing of data.
