Job Description:

You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team in Respiratory Medicine at the Peter Lougheed Centre. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working alongside physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Conducting examinations, documenting patient histories, and interpreting test results
  • Developing treatment plans in consultation with attending physicians and writing appropriate orders
  • Entering orders into the patient care electronic or manual system

Required Qualifications:

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Be eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or individuals with open work permits)
  • Have English language proficiency, as demonstrated by a minimum score of 7 in each component of the Academic version of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
  • Be a graduate of a medical school located outside of Canada and the USA, listed in the Foundation of Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) - International Medical Directory (IMD)
  • Have completed at least one full year of hands-on training after completing undergraduate medical training
  • Have passed the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination Part I (MCCQE1)
  • Have been in a discipline-specific postgraduate training program or discipline-specific independent practice within the last 3 years
