This exciting opportunity offers a lucrative base salary, bonus, and relocation bonus. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading process improvements that drive value, using your understanding of processing to optimize plant operations and support the design, implementation, and continued operation of control strategies.

To succeed in this role, you will need outstanding problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills. You will be a courageous safety leader, adhering to and sponsoring safety and environmental rules and procedures. You will also have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology that will drive equipment performance in new and innovative ways.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process control strategies to improve plant efficiency and productivity.
  • Analyze processes and equipment to identify optimization opportunities and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the automation team to design, implement, and maintain control systems.
  • Support alarm management and improve process control and automation by evaluating new technology and recommending solutions.
  • Work with the plant team to implement and sustain Model Predictive Control.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Process Control, Mineral Processing, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Registered, or eligible to register, with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC); the company will support eligible employees with their EGBC registration.
  • Five to eight years of technical experience in a related processing environment with an understanding of process controls.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows.
  • Experience with PLC/DCS programming, regulatory, and advanced control would be considered an asset.
