Occupational Therapist Position

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Langley, BC.
Job Description- Provides occupational therapy services to clients of all ages, and/or adults and transitioning youth with developmental disabilities, in community-based settings.
- Educates clients, caregivers, and staff regarding rehabilitation interventions.
- Advocates for clients with community agencies and funding sources.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current developments in occupational therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively independently and in a team-based environment.
Responsibilities- Assesses client's cognitive, perceptual, self-care, physical, and leisure status.
- Collaborates with client/family/caregiver and other healthcare professionals to formulate treatment goals.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates care plans.
- Coordinates rehabilitative services with the client and other health service providers.
- Acts as a client advocate by providing information and liaising with funding agencies and community resources.
- Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Two (2) years' recent, related clinical experience in a community or home health setting.
