As an AI/ML Engineer Co-op Student, you will have the opportunity to work on a real-world project that directly impacts our core operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to gather requirements and design, implement, test, and deploy machine learning models that enhance our maintenance strategies.

Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements from stakeholders (engineering, reliability, and operations) to understand operational challenges and maintenance needs.
- Develop, train, and test machine learning models to predict and prevent equipment failures.
- Integrate data from our SCADA systems and Postgres databases using the Azure data stack.
- Deploy the models into our production environment and monitor their performance to ensure effective reduction of unplanned downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate the predictive maintenance system into existing operations.
- Document project progress, model performance, and technical challenges, and prepare reports and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in ML libraries and data processing tools.
- Experience with libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch.
- Familiarity with Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation and analysis.
- Practical experience with Azure ML/AI and Azure Databricks ML.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL and experience working with structured and unstructured data.
