Job Opportunity: Secondary Technical Studies Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Secondary Technical Studies Teacher to join our team at School District #39 (Vancouver). As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen careers.

About the Role:

This is a permanent, full-time position with benefits. As a Secondary Technical Studies Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects, including Woodwork, Metalwork, Drafting, Electronics, and Auto Mechanics. You will work closely with students, colleagues, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Completion of a Bachelor of Education
  • Diploma in Technical Studies, including Drafting, Woodwork, Metalwork, Electronics, and Auto Mechanics
  • Teaching practicum experience in technical education
  • Membership in or eligible to become a member of the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB)
  • Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service
